Parent & Family Wellbeing
Shared Ground offers counselling and parent support for families navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, or big feelings at home. This space is for parents and carers who love their kids deeply but feel stretched thin by the demands of daily life. Together, we’ll explore what’s underneath the behaviour, strengthen family relationships, and build understanding through evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches. The goal is to help you feel grounded, more connected, and confident in supporting your child, with practical tools that bring steadiness and wellbeing to your family.

Play Therapy
Play Therapy helps children explore their experiences, express emotions, and develop new ways of coping through play. It offers a safe, supportive space grounded in evidence-based practice and tailored to each child’s stage of development. Together, we’ll explore what’s emerging in play and how it relates to your child’s world, helping you strengthen understanding and connection at home. Play Therapy can support emotional regulation, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions by helping children feel safe, confident, and connected.

1:1 Counselling
Counselling offers a supportive space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what’s feeling heavy or unclear. Many people come to counselling when they’re feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward.
Our work together focuses on helping you regain balance and clarity. Sessions are shaped around your goals and draw on evidence-based approaches including ACT and CBT, and are grounded in trauma-informed and relational practice. We’ll work collaboratively to explore what’s happening beneath the surface, build practical strategies for daily life, and reconnect you with your own sense of strength and direction.
Together we’ll focus on understanding what’s really going on and finding small, meaningful shifts that help you feel more grounded and supported.

Grounded Parenting: Making Sense of Big Feelings and Building Connection
Every parent wants to feel connected and confident in how they support their child, yet when big feelings or challenging behaviours show up, it can be hard to know what’s really going on or how to respond.
The Grounded Parenting workshop helps parents and carers make sense of those moments, offering insight into how children’s development, nervous systems, and behaviours interact. Together, we explore how your own stress responses and patterns influence the dynamic, and how small shifts can create more attuned, connected relationships.
You’ll learn evidence-based strategies drawn from ACT, CBT, Attachment, and Polyvagal Theory, all translated into practical tools. Together, we focus on small, meaningful shifts that bring more understanding, connection, and ease to family life.
Sessions are held in the Barossa Valley, with options in Gawler and Adelaide, plus an online format for parents across Australia.

My Approach
The way we work together matters as much as the work itself.
My work is grounded, practical, and centred on understanding what’s really happening for you or your family. We take things one step at a time and focus on what’s most important right now.
I listen carefully, ask curious questions, and we collaborate on strategies together. The work is about understanding yourself and your family more clearly, and finding steadier ways to respond when things feel hard.
Sessions are collaborative and unhurried. Sometimes that means unpacking a pattern that’s been around for a while; other times, it’s about finding small changes that make home life feel lighter. There’s no judgement or pressure to have things figured out. This is a space for reflection, learning, and genuine connection.
I draw on evidence-based frameworks like ACT, CBT, and attachment theory, but what matters most is the relationship. We explore what’s beneath the surface, make sense of what’s happening, and find ways forward that feel right for you and your family.
Over time, many people find a greater sense of steadiness and understanding in themselves and in their relationships. If that sounds like something you’re seeking, you’re welcome to get in touch to begin the conversation.
